Read First - My wife, Judy, and I enjoyed 11 years circumnavigating the world aboard our 2003 Amel Super Maramu, BeBe. Judy and I logged over 40,000 miles and visited 58 countries. After this adventure I created Amel School ( to share my knowledge and experiences with others who would like to follow the course that Judy and I completed. For an Audio Podcast with Bill & Judy explaining costs of cruising, follow this link:

During our circumnavigation I became a self-taught on almost everything about Amel yachts and the systems installed on Amels. I created maintenance instructions with illustrations that are used by hundreds of Amel Owners. I audited Amel employees performing maintenance. The culmination of this 11 year effort is my 400 page Amel Book which I give at no charge to all Amel School attendees. Our Circumnavigation Blog aboard BeBe, SM #387, is at

The Amel School course is taught aboard your Amel with as many members of the crew as desired. It is at least a 3-day course with some owners choosing to add extra days. Attendees of Amel School receive a printed and bound copy of the Amel Book (1 per boat) with weekly online updates and also receive free of additional charge 1 year of 24/7 Support. LifeTime 24/7 Support is available for as long as you own your Amel

I also offer Pre-Purchase Consulting because I understand the complexities of selecting the right Amel yacht and the issues in the purchase process. I have helped a number of people with their purchase of an Amel. I am neither a broker nor a surveyor, but I am a non-conflicted knowledgeable consultant to future Amel owners. I have already saved my clients hundreds of thousands of dollars in their selection, negotiation and purchase of their Amel.

More information including My Booking Calendar can be found on the PRICES tab.

I will travel anywhere in the world to teach this course.
